Logica computer consultants have been selected to implement the European Aeronautical Information Services Database System (EAD) by Frequentis Network Systems. The EUR 15 million project will found a database providing information such as the location of navigation aids, aerospace structure and procedures and a catalogue of services available at different airports. \r"Recent years have seen a huge growth in air traffic," commented Ian Hannah, account manager at Logica. "The system which will be put in place will provide a unique relay service of data between the national administrations or their service providers and the aviation authorities. This may become the benchmark for future systems around the world."
