Cessna has completed a new 74,000 square foot structural test facility to provide test data to support engineering decisions. According to Milt Sills, senior vp, product engineering, "This facility will enable us to shorten the development cycle, ensure the structural integrity, and improve the systems reliability of Cessna aircraft." The $11.6 million facility is more than double the company's former test site, and Cessna says it will allow for planned growth to accommodate all current and future aircraft.
