Citation SII arrives at Business Jet Sweden to replace its long-standing Citation I
A Citation SII arrived at Business Jet Sweden at the end of November, replacing the charter company's long-serving Citation I. "The Citation Super II has a higher gross weight, higher loading performance, higher altitude, and longer range. It makes a big difference," Business Jet Sweden operations manager Kurt Buerneby said. "There is also an external luggage compartment in the SII, which is a big advantage for us and our passengers."

A Citation SII arrived at Business Jet Sweden at the end of November, replacing the charter company's long-serving Citation I. \r"The Citation Super II has a higher gross weight, higher loading performance, higher altitude, and longer range. It makes a big difference," Business Jet Sweden operations manager Kurt Buerneby said. "There is also an external luggage compartment in the SII, which is a big advantage for us and our passengers." \r"It is important to take into account the low season, which is not representative of the hours we expect from the aircraft. It took some weeks for Swedish registration to be completed, plus December is traditionally rather slow - people are staying home preparing for Christmas, and in January they are recovering. \r"But we have flown twice as many hours as we did in the same period the year before with our Citation I. We are very happy with this type of aircraft," he explained. \rThe interior of the SII is configured for eight people, including a three-place settee which can be taken out to make room for a stretcher. Said Buerneby: "We are not yet a complete air ambulance operator because there are specific requirements that must be met before this type of operation can be undertaken - you must have a doctor, oxygen equipment, and be medically educated." \rThe company's Citation I was purchased in 1976, serving at the company for nearly a quarter of a century. Buerneby affirmed that the new aircraft, with its increased performance, is "a step up". \r"We have had a good response from our customers," Buerneby reported. "We found also that this new aircraft has an even better performance than the new Bravo - not a higher speed, but more economical."
