The first of two ACJs firmly ordered by the Italian ministry of defence arrived in Rome to be met by a delegation led by the Italian prime minister, Dr Massimo D'Alema. Also present were the deputy prime ministers and the chief of the Italian air force. Operationally flexible, the Italian government's ACJs' missions can include flights for heads of state, government officials, support staff and press corps. The aeroplane's seats are said by Airbus to be a feature, manufactured as they are by Avio Interiors.
