Norrlandsfly AB of Sweden has been operating Sikorsky S76 types since 1993. It now has three in total, following the arrival in November of an air ambulance model. \r"We fly very long distances. The S76 has low vibrations and it is roomy," Monica Hedstrom, flight operations manager at Norrlandsfly, explained. "We have completed a lot of missions, mostly in Sweden. We also pick up and fly home patients from Norway and Finland."\rNorrlandsfly carries out air ambulance missions for Swedish local health departments. "This helicopter covers 20 per cent of the area of Sweden; another S76 air ambulance of ours operates near Stockholm. This S76 is more specialised, flying out doctors and badly injured patients between specialist hospitals," Hedstrom added.
