Swissport keeps paparazzi away from vip visitors
With the Monaco Grand Prix and the Cannes Film Festival, May has once again been Nice Airport’s busiest month of the year.

With the Monaco Grand Prix and the Cannes Film Festival, May has once again been Nice Airport’s busiest month of the year. Resident FBO Swissport Executive Aviation handled 150 aircraft ranging from Learjets to Boeing 747s.

Said a spokesman: “We prepared for the peak well in advance, drawing up plans and making all the necessary contacts with the airport authorities. Many of the passengers were international vips such as royalty, singers, actors and sports stars, with the paparazzi hanging around from dawn until dusk. Close coordination with the security services ensured that passengers were offered short transfers, hidden from the flashbulbs.”

Swissport’s service was obviously well appreciated as one of its customers donated invitations to the Grand Prix, allowing eight of the company’s staff to follow the action live from the Hotel de Paris.
