Attendance at this year’s ILA exhibition by trade visitors rose from 84,000 to 90,000 compared with last year. From 6-12 May, 340 aircraft were present along with 1,067 exhibitors from 40 countries, which according to organisers was the largest and most international in the event’s 93-year history. In total, 215,150 were expected to have attended by the end of the exhibition.
“Despite the current difficulties facing aviation, the ILA 2002 can be counted as a success. Contracts worth billions were signed during the event,” said BDLI president, Dr. Hans Eberhard Birke.
