EBAN understands that Aeromedic Innovations is close to finalising an agreement that will see the UK-based company secure a vital foothold in the European business aviation market for its range of aeromedical kits.
Aeromedic’s prime business lies in supply and maintenance of medical kits for onboard use to the commercial air transport industry. However the company also has in the past supplied kits to OEMs producing corporate aircraft and it is now keen to expand its presence in the corporate jet market in what it sees as a growing sector.
Aeromedic says it is close to securing the strategic alliance agreement with an established player in the corporate jet market and that this will allow its kits to be placed on potentially scores of Europe-based business jets.
A further upside for the company is that it is just introducing its Zero Two Plus supplementary oxygen programme which it says is receiving much interest from major airlines worldwide.
Zero Two is designed to reduce the hassle airlines have in supplying supplementary oxygen to passengers who require oxygen onboard aircraft, and to remove the need for the carriage of bulky, heavy and volumetric oxygen cylinders in favour of a lightweight, flexible and mobile unit that delivers oxygen through pulse dose conserver technology.
Aeromedic believes that this supplementary oxygen product could be of great interest to the corporate jet market – particularly for long-range flights carrying senior executives.
