London Air Charter Centre (LACC) has became the first broker to charter book Oxaero’s new Citation Excel. The flight from Cranfield to Faro in Portugal was for a businessman who had before always insisted on flying Hawker 125 equipment.

LACC’s Stephen Raindle said: “We went to great lengths to explain the advantages of the Excel which offers virtually the same height cabin as the 125 but is much more up-to-date and has a useful baggage hold under the tail.

“It was very important for this client as he was taking his family away on a 12-day holiday. We thought the passengers would be impressed and they returned full of praise for the Excel and for

Oxaero’s slick operation. As well as being a super aircraft, the Excel worked out quite a bit cheaper than the 125.”

The client has since made known his intention to use the Excel again for a trip to Mahon in September.
