England’s World Cup squad have journeyed to the biggest event in the footballing calendar in a Boeing 777 sporting the Three Lions crest.

The British Airways aircraft first flew the players and their families to Dubai from London Luton for a week’s training, then a second flight landed them in Jeju in South Korea for final pre-tournament preparations.

England’s footballers were treated to adjustable six-foot flat beds in the Club World cabin.

Taking the well-being of the team one step further, BA’s aviation medical expert Dr David Flower provided the squad with a tailored jet lag programme to help them stay alert for the first game against Sweden.
