Gulfstream’s expanded fleet, comprising the Gulfstream 100, 200, IV-SP and the GV, will be on display at EBACE 2002, being held in Geneva. It marks the first time the entire fleet will be on display in Europe.
“EBACE 2002 is an ideal location for Gulfstream to showcase its entire fleet in Europe for the first time," said Bill Boisture, president, Gulfstream Aerospace. “The mid-size G100, with its short runway capability so important in Europe, and its high speed, is ideally suited for long and short distance flights, with a maximum range of 2,950 nautical miles at speeds in excess of Mach 0.80.
“The G200 is the only super mid-size aircraft in operation today and flies nonstop from Geneva to Gander, Newfoundland, or Berlin to Delhi.” continued Boisture.
The soon to be available Gulfstream V-SP will provide a range of 6,750 nautical miles, a 250-mile improvement over the current GV. The GV-SP will provide additional improvements in cabin and baggage volume, in takeoff performance as well as technology incorporated in its PlaneView cockpit. The first customer delivery is scheduled in 2003.
Meanwhile, the US manufacturer says it has simultaneously increased the number of its GII, GIII and GIV high-demand, exchange components while significantly reducing the prices of those parts through its GulfSave programme.
“Our customers have let us know the numbers and types of spare parts they need, the price they will pay for those parts and the turnaround time from placement of the order to receipt of the part,” said senior vp, aircraft services Larry Flynn. “We’ve listened and have adjusted our business to meet their needs.”
