Excellent Air International, in collaboration with mci management concepts and Elite Simulation Solutions, has developed a design concept for jet procedure trainers to simulate a variety of performance parameters. Dubbed the Excellent Air BJ100, it will allow flight crews type rated on a wide variety of business jets the opportunity to hone co-ordination, procedure and piloting skills on one multi-purpose platform. The new trainer is based on Elite Simulation Solutions iGATE simulators.

A spokesman explained: “This mimics the flight characteristics of a range of jet types commonly utilised by corporate aviation. The dual cockpit features flight, navigation/communication and engine instrumentation common to many business jets in the air today.” Excellent Air claims that it is the only executive transport operator in Europe with its own jet safety and procedure trainer.

Meanwhile, mci management concepts has announced that its founder and president, Hans-J. Schnellrieder, has received the ‘Special Business Aviation Award Achiever 2002’ recognition from the International Business Aviation Awards at ILA Berlin-Brandenburg.
