The UK’s Flight Precision is soon to take delivery of a third King Air for its flight calibration work. The aircraft – which will replace one of the company’s Cessna 441s – has been fitted with a full Raisbeck performance package and has undergone extensive modification work to enable it to carry out the calibration of en route, terminal and approach aids.
This has included the fitting of an Aerodata flight inspection system and task-specific racks together with the incorporation of a Ryan TCAD and Laser INS to the four-tube glass cockpit.
Said a spokesman for the Durham-based company: “This much-needed addition to Flight Precision’s fleet will enable the company to continue expanding and is evidence of its continuing success in providing a customer-focused flight calibration service.” The aircraft is due in service in mid-2002.
