ILA, the International Aerospace Exhibition, is being held on May 6-12. As a meeting place for the international aerospace industry the role of ILA 2002 is not only to provide a showcase for new technology, products and services, but also to offer a forum for worldwide joint ventures.
Many high ranking international delegations have stated their intention of attending. Approximately 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries will be presenting their products at Berlin Brandenburg International Airport. Over 85,000 trade visitors from all over the world are expected to attend. The first three days of the fair are reserved exclusively for trade visitors and the exhibition will be opened by Germany’s chancellor Gerhard Schroder.
ILA has become established as a major gateway to the EU as well as Central and Eastern Europe since its return to Berlin in 1992. ILA’s central location comprises the second-largest aerospace market in the world.
