Cessna has published a supplement to the Aeroplane Flight Manual (supplement 41), which enables the Citation Bravo aircraft to meet the requirements for the steep approach into London City Airport. “This means that operators of the Citation Bravo can now apply to their regulatory authority for approval into this airport,” said Gary Hodgetts, head of operational standards at London City. The airport hopes that by increasing the family of aircraft approved to operate into London City, it could potentially increase the volume of traffic.
Meanwhile, the airport has confirmed that it is on schedule for a May, 2002 completion of its dedicated corporate aviation facility. Darren Grover, Jet Centre manager, said: “The two-storey structure is now up and is currently being fitted out. When the centre is complete it will house VIP lounges, customs and immigration and crew facilities, operating independently from the main London City Airport terminal.”
