Adding to a fleet of 16 aircraft, Heli Holland has purchased a Eurocopter AS355. EBAN asked director Rene Haring about the reasons behind the choice: “It was a matter of perfor-mance and cost. It’s an economical machine, with very high performance and low maintenance costs.” The helicopter is around 1,600 hours old and is expected to be employed in transporting business people and police on the whole.
“The average use on the aircraft is usually around 5-600 hours a year, and the major part of that will be police flying. Around 15 per cent would be charter,” he explained.
The company owns its entire fleet and currently doesn’t manage for other owners. “We offer, among others, a Schweizer 300, MD 500, the Bell JetRanger and LongRanger. Comparing total number of helicopters, we are the largest charterers in Holland,” claimed Haring. Heli Holland also has a maintenance facility at its base in Emmercom-pascuum, where it is certified for base and line maintenance for the 355 and EC120, among others.
Haring said: “There are not too many helicopter companies in Holland. The last few months have been good for us and the Dutch market is remaining stable.”
