RusAero has recorded a busy first six months in the business aircraft broker market. Chief of corporate flights Igor Mudrik told EBAN: “We’ve arranged around 50 flights so far, using aircraft ranging from small Russian aircraft to BBJs, Gulfstreams and Challengers.

“The latest request was a flight for 20 people in a vip Airbus, travelling from Moscow to Istanbul and back.”

Mudrik says there are roughly eight to ten serious brokers in Russia at the current time although they are not the only players in the market. He said: “It’s better to come to us than one of the small charter brokers

with three or four people because there’s no guarantee that the aircraft will be on time or that they’ll be an aircraft at all.

“We at RusAero are already well known by all the airlines and rich people in Russia.”
