Multiflight has converted the first non-Eurocopter CAA built N model AS355N. Multiflight undertook the conversion works to meet CAA additional requirements as part of its corporate maintenance service. The machine was purchased by former Formula 1 driver Jonathan Palmer

of Palmer Sport. The helicopter required a number of changes to the electrical and indicating systems to conform to the CAA Public Transport specifications, together with the Eurocopter Standard Service Bulletin requirements. In addition, the helicopter underwent UK IFR conversion including avionics upgrade and completion from its green factory delivered state. The installation consisted of map and radar system, audio and enter-tainment system, full leather interior and external paint scheme.

Meanwhile, Multiflight’s BBJ2 has arrived at East Midlands Airport after an eight hour 40 minutes flight from Boeing in Seattle.

The aircraft had been delayed due to certification issues relating to the HUD system and long-range fuel tank system.

The aircraft has now entered Lufthansa Technik for its specialist vip completion at Hamburg, Germany. It is expected to enter service during October 2002.
