Decision makers from politics, aviation and industry are being invited to use the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) 2002 to search for solutions that will restore confidence and help to bring about renewed expansion within the aviation sector.

Decision makers from politics, aviation and industry are being invited to use the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) 2002 to search for solutions that will restore confidence and help to bring about renewed expansion within the aviation sector. The event, held at the Berlin Brandenburg International Airport from May 6-12, will be one the first aerospace fairs in Europe since the terrorist attacks.

Some of the main topics expected to be addressed, include: The space sector, unmanned aircraft, rail and air, the General Aviation Avenue (on the western part of the exhibition grounds) and the ILA HeliCenter. Over 320 aircraft are scheduled to appear at the event, a spokesman claimed: “This event will feature more fixed wing aircraft and helicopters on the ground and in the air than any other comparable trade fair in the world.”

It is believed that over 85,000 international trade visitors will descend upon Berlin for the ILA 2002. The exhibition will be opened on May 6 by the German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroder.
