The groundbreaking ceremony for Jet Aviation Basel’s multi-storey customer and administration building has taken place and the project is scheduled to be completed in October, the company says.

The four-story, 6,500 square metre building will house a customer and visitor reception area, a separate customer lounge with seating and reading materials, and a darkened resting area along with showers

for pilots. Customer business offices will be built and equipped with, computer, fax, internet and phone connections for maintenance and completions clients. Conference rooms will also be made available

to customers, fitted with the same facilities.

“The building will offer customers available work space to continue with business during aircraft downtime. The new space will allow us to streamline communi-cations by placing customers in close contact with key management and customer representatives,” said Rainer Albecker, vp and general manager. “The addition will also enable the facility to optimise work processes by centralising manage-ment in one building,” he said.
