Bombardier Aerospace has received 115 firm orders for its Continental business jet.
The aircraft is unusual in that its interior is being supplied in its entirety by DeCrane Aircraft Holdings. Jack DeCrane told EBAN: “This will be the first complete interior supplied by just one party. In terms of obstacles, I believe the difficult part is behind us.
“The tough parts of the programme have been addressed in the design, engineering and completion of the first shipset that was manufactured and fit into the Continental fitting jig.”
Asked what passengers and operators will enjoy most about DeCrane’s interior for the Continental, DeCrane said: “I think the passengers will see some exciting things in terms of ergonomics, seating, passenger control units and switches, and overall comfort.
“We think that operators will find this aircraft to be user-friendly for passengers and for maintenance, a combination that we think will be a welcomed advance in the business aviation community."
