A GV belonging to Executive Jet has had the distinction of being the 1000th Gulfstream to pass through Signature Flight Support’s Luton facility since January of this year.

The surprised crew were welcomed by director Trevor King and treated to a champagne buffet to mark the occasion. Said a spokesman: “The FBO often handles up to 70 aircraft of all types in one day and NetJets is one of many operators who prefer to use Signature Flight Support.”

The news from Signature is that it will soon offer expanded hangars and more office space at London Luton. Nigel Plumb, general manager of Signature Aircraft Engineering, says he has been pleasantly surprised by the number of customers opting for full maintenance checks when arriving at Luton.

He said: “Operators found that it made sense to take advantage of competitive man-hour rates and superior service during what would otherwise be wasted downtime.”
