Commander Aircraft Company has introduced a recurrent flight training programme for its owners. This will allow all Commander owners to take advantage of recurrent training at the factory level, regardless of where they purchased their aircraft or how long they have owned it.
Commander said that it continues to offer custom factory systems and proficiency transition training for owners who purchase both new and pre-owned aircraft from the company. Gene Schockemoehl, a newly rated private pilot who recently took delivery of his Commander 115 TC, said: “The Commander ground school and flight training programme was a fun and informative experience. I particularly enjoyed the fact that I was able to use my own aircraft during the training while learning how the 115TC systems behaved in flight.” Robert Canan, manager of flight training and customer relations, said: “With the factory recurrent programme, all of our owners are able to receive the highest level of training, insuring safe aircraft operation and continued favourable insurance premiums.”
Commander Aircraft is currently working with the FAA to incorporate the Wings programme into the training package.
