VisionAire Corporation has named industry veteran James B. “Jim” Taylor and Glen C. Monigold, VisionAire’s President and chief operating officer, to its board of directors.
Taylor is credited with revolutionising the art of selling and supporting business planes. After launching the Dassault/Pan Am Mystere/Falcon, the Cessna Citation and the Canadair Challenger, he joined financially troubled Gates Learjet as President and ceo. He was given the task of turning the company around within two years in order to make it attractive for possible acquisition and fulfilled his mandate within 21 months.
In contrast, Monigold is a relative newcomer to business aviation.
“We’re excited to have men of such calibre as additions to our board,” said James O. “Jim” Rice, Jr., VisionAire's chairman and ceo. “Each brings valuable expertise to the company as the Vantage programme moves into its production phase.”
VisionAire is developing the six-place Vantage business jet, the world’s first all composite, single-engine fan-jet aeroplane.
