The former company helicopter of Aero Del in the Philippines – a Twin Squirrel – is available for resale courtesy of Lloyd Helicopters. Although it was with Aero Del for five years, it has only clocked up 584 hours and boasts single pilot IFR and a host of interior goodies like Kenwood sound system, Bose headsets and walnut trim finish.

Speaking at this year’s Helitech exhibition, Chris Lloyd told EBAN: “The aircraft has certainly been catching people’s attention. Everyone has been impressed with the quality of the paint scheme and that of the interior. That said, it’s obviously very specific to the vip buyer. People looking at it here wouldn’t specifically go for such a heavy vip interior so if a buyer comes along and wants a different interior, we can certainly accommodate that.”

“One good thing about a heavy interior,” added Lloyd, “is that it absorbs any vibrations.”

Lloyd is putting the aircraft on the US certificate. Meanwhile, the company has sold all but two of the Sagawa fleet helicopters it bought in late April of this year. After buying a package of 12 aircraft, the majority were shipped to Canada and three down to Australia.
