Planned to be fully operational in early 2002, the facility will house vip lounges, a dedicated vip aircraft stand, aircraft parking, immigration and customs, and crew facilities.

The location of the Jet Centre, six miles from central London, is expected t

o be a key attraction.

From December 1, London City Airport itself will be taking over full responsibility for the handling of business jets at the airport.

Richard Gooding, md, said: “Corporate aviation is a vital part of the business travel industry and our dedication to customer satisfaction and attention to detail will ensure that the Jet Centre will deliver an excellent service .”
