The new AS 355 Twin Squirrel just bought by Greek charterer Air Intersalonika, was just five hours from delivery when EBAN caught up with George Philippatos at the company’s Thessaloniki base on August 31.

He said: “What I like about this aircraft is its endless power. We are going to use it to transport government officials, businessmen and tourists around Northern Greece.

In our experience, the tourists who visit these parts – and there are very many of them – are very well off, financially speaking.

“We normally fly all over the Greek Islands and do any special trips requested by the customer.”

Air Intersalonika also has an AS 350 Squirrel which it deploys on aerial photography missions and for air evacuations. The company has been in business for five years.
