Jet Aviation concentrates avionics divisions into Kassel base
Jet Aviation has concentrated its six German avionics divisions into its Kassel-based avionics centre. Skilled technicians, avionics equipment and resources from the company’s Dusseldorf, Saarbrucken, Munich, Hannover and Cologne locations are to be merged.

Jet Aviation has concentrated its six German avionics divisions into its Kassel-based avionics centre. Skilled technicians, avionics equipment and resources from the company’s Dusseldorf, Saarbrucken, Munich, Hannover and Cologne locations are to be merged to form one centralised avionics competency centre at Kassel, Germany.

The centre will offer avionics installations and support, repairs and modifications, along with parts procurement to business aviation customers throughout Europe. “This merger enables Jet Aviation to combine resources and skills to offer customers a higher level of avionics services,” said Kassel’s station manager Hanno Zagumin.

To expand Kassel’s avionics capabilities, additional technicians were hired, the avionics shop was enlarged and 300 square metres of hangar space was added to accommodate large installation jobs. “A major investment has been made in new-generation avionics and testing equipment for Honeywell, Rockwell Collins and S-TEC equipment,” said Johannes Turzer vp and general manager of Jet Aviation Germany.

“We have expanded and refurbished this facility to accommodate additional avionics test lab rooms, a crew rest room and meeting room. Our facility can now provide on-site Autopilot testing and in-house commercial avionics testing for NAV/COMs and GPS,” said Zagumin.
