Groen Brothers lure customers with fractional programme
Groen Brothers Aviation has announced the introduction of HawkShare, a fractional ownership programme based on the Hawk 4 gyroplane, for private and commercial operators.

Groen Brothers Aviation has announced the introduction of HawkShare, a fractional ownership programme based on the Hawk 4 gyroplane, for private and commercial operators.

Said a spokesman: “A one-eighth share would cost the purchaser on average $99,000, less than $900 a month for management and operational expenses and $226 per flight hour for fuel and a maintenance reserve.” Its manufacturers say the Hawk 4 is a near vertical take-off and landing aircraft, seating four people and flying at a speed of 120 to 150 miles per hour. It has a maximum range of 330 miles.

David Groen, president and ceo of Groen Brothers Aviation, said: "We are pleased to offer this fractional ownership programme because we understand that many people don't fly enough hours a year to justify the expense of owning their own aircraft. Fractional ownership programmes for aircraft have been very popular for this reason and our dealers say that it will widen the audience of prospective buyers."Doug Rex, GBA Gyroplanes of Las Vegas dealer, said: "Many of my potential customers have expressed a need for such a programme.” The Hawk 4 is nearing the final stages of certification with the FAA.
