According to the terms of the memorandum of understanding previously signed in Brasov, Romania, MM. Jean-François Bigay, president of Eurocopter and Neculai Banea, president of IAR S.A. Brasov, have now signed the shareholders agreement for Eurocopter Romania S.A. – a joint venture company currently under incorporation process. The new company plans to buy 30 EC135 within the five coming years, and will be in charge of their customisation.
Eurocopter Romania will also be in charge of the retrofit market of Eurocopter’s first-generation range of helicopters (Alouette, Puma).
Both companies have already made joint proposals to several customers and a first significant contract, averaging one hundred million euros and currently under final negotiation, will be announced in the near future.
