Liberty to install Continental engine on XL-2
Liberty Aerospace is to certify its Liberty XL-2 with the 125hp FADEC Teledyne Continental IOF-240 engine. Liberty will continue to offer the 100hp Rotax 912S engine as the XL-2R model. Liberty Aerospace president Anthony Tiarks said: ‘’We have received overwhelming interest in the XL-2 since it was launched in April, and it has become increasingly clear that our customers would prefer the installation of this Continental engine. A careful engineering evaluation has been undertaken by Liberty, leading to this announcement.” The Continental powered XL-2 will be priced at $105,000.
