TAG Aeronautics places US$75 million Continental order
Bombardier Aerospace has sold five Continental jets to TAG Aeronautics, the exclusive representative and distributor for the manufacturer’s widebody aircraft in 22 Middle East and Arab countries. The value of the order is approximately US$75 million and the first aircraft are scheduled to enter service early in 2004. “The Continental is an aircraft which is well-suited for travel in the Middle East,” stated Benoit Kerub, president, TAG Aeronautics. “It provides excellent high cruise speed without compromising airfield capability.” City pairs linked non-stop by the Continental will include Abu Dhabi-Rome, Jeddah-London and Riyadh-Paris.
