One in every seven French aviation equipment companies is at high risk of failure, according to financial analysts Plimsoll Publishing Limited.
Many of these failing companies will struggle to settle payments with their overseas suppliers in the next six months.
Plimsoll monitored the accounts of 120 manufacturers and traders of aviation equipment in France over a four year period, in a research to discover the ingredients of company failure and the early warning signs visible in company accounts.
Despite these results, Plimsoll says this does not mean the industry is in complete demise, pointing out 90 financially sound companies.
