Paravion has introduced a system for the Bell 206 series and 407 helicopters that enables the pilot or mechanic to remove the dual pedals, and install an extended foot rest in less than three minutes. Paravion says that previously removable dual controls left the tail rotor control pedals installed, restricting the foot and legroom of the front seat passenger. It claims that these ‘quick release’ pedals allow the passenger over six inches of additional legroom compared with other models. The initial installation can be completed in one hour.
