PDG Helicopters as recently taken delivery of a Eurocopter AS 365N Dauphin bringing its UK fleet to a total of 16 helicopters.
The Dauphin is under a five to ten year contract with Serco operations, a leading facility management company employed by the Defence Evaluation Research Agency (DERA).
This latest aircraft will enhance operations carried out at Kyle of Lochalsh in Scotland for the British Underwater Test and Evaluation Centre and also at Benbecula ranges on the Isle of Lewis for the supply of freight to the remote island of St. Kilda.
The Dauphin is currently undergoing major inspections and modifications for its new role at PDG’s own JAR approved maintenance facility in Inverness. It is expected to be in service by the middle of July.
