LEA boss gets priorities straight at Stapleford
London Executive Aviation’s (LEA) headquarters at Stapleford airport is now fully operational. The 4,000 square foot facility was designed to the exact specifications demanded by the company.

London Executive Aviation’s (LEA) headquarters at Stapleford airport is now fully operational. The 4,000 square foot facility was designed to the exact specifications demanded by the company.

Chief executive Patrick Rushmore said: “Our plans for the coming years dictated that we have a custom-designed building capable of providing the highest quality environment for the LEA teams as we move forward into the new millennium.”

A large operations room supports the core of the operation alongside a spacious client lounge, which boasts its own bar with panoramic views of the airfield. Facilities include a flight planning area and pilot’s rest room for company and visiting aircrew. Clients also have the use of a twelve-place boardroom.

“We planned the design through discussion with our staff to discover each department’s needs. My contribution was obviously the bar in the lounge,” quipped managing director George Galanopoulos.

Stapleford airport is eleven miles from the City of London and is open 24 hours a day for company operations. LEA also has bases at London City, London Stansted and Sheffield from where it operates a fleet of twelve aircraft including two Citation IIs. A Citation Excel is due to arrive in August 2001.
