Stuttgarter Flugdienst celebrates 55 years and gains IS-BAO accreditation

Stuttgarter Flugdienst (SFD) has recently become an IS-BAO certified operator, adhering to the standards of best practice for private charter operators laid down by the International Business Aviation Council.

"With our practiced self-understanding of safety and quality it was just a small challenge to take part in the IS-BAO certification, which we successfully passed," said managing director Andreas Mundsinger. During 2011 SFD is celebrating its 55th anniversary. Established in 1956 to provide scenic flights and aerial photography, the company soon developed into an established and growing operator.

"A great number of frequent customers are a sure sign of our dependable service and quality. Our own maintenance department takes care of the complete fleet of 11 aircraft including the latest addition, a 2009-build Citation XLS+," says Mundsinger.

With a fleet ranging from a King Air 90 to the Embraer Legacy 600, SFD aims to match all requirements regarding costs or comfort, whatever its clients' preferences are.

"Personal contact with our business partners ensures our success now just like it did right at the beginning. It is an investment in the future of our company," Mundsinger added.
