Lloyd Helicopters, the international helicopter dealers with offices in London, Singapore and the USA, has purchased the entire helicopter fleet of Sagawa Air Services, Tokyo, which recently closed its aviation department. Founder of the group Pat Lloyd was in Tokyo last week with the company’s md Chris Lloyd, to finalise the contract with Sagawa. All the helicopters are low time and will be exported from Japan during April to their various offices in the UK, USA and Australia.

These Sikorsky S76s are the fourth and fifth of the type which the company has bought in Japan in recent years. One of the two S76A+s is offered for sale in the classified section of EBAN, later in this issue.

Lloyd has been active in the Japanese market for many years and in 1997 purchased two surplus Dauphins when Toyota closed its aviation department.
