Charter and taxi operator Platinum Air 2000 launched a scheduled service on March 5 between London Biggin Hill and Blackpool, UK.

The route will be operated with an 18-seat Jetstream 31. According to Biggin Hill, the service is the fastest link between the two cities and fares are in line with those offered to first class rail passengers.

Airport marketing manager Julie Black commented: “We are delighted that Platinum is extending the range of their operations to include this scheduled service.

“There are very strong business links between the north west and London, particularly in the financial services and insurance sectors.”
