Sikorsky to incorporate aircraft health management system on S-92
Sikorsky Aircraft has selected BFGoodrich’s health and usage management system (IMD-HUMS) for all of its S-92 helicopters. The system includes an on-board component which gathers and processes data on aircraft usage and the condition of the engine and drive train components. Information can be displayed to the crew and is routinely transferred to a ground-based computer which generates summaries of operations and forecasts maintenance requirements.
