First Malibu Meridian arrives in Europe
The first Piper Malibu Meridian to be sold outside the US arrived with Danish Piper distributor AirAlpha at the beginning of February. The aircraft was picked up from Vero Beach in the US and flown to its new home in Odense, Denmark by AirAlpha’s managing director Bjarne Jorsal and a test pilot from Piper. The Meridian is currently serving as a demonstration aircraft and is used privately by a business man who flies it himself. Speaking to EBAN, AirAlpha’s Katja Nielsen said, “It’s a really beautiful aircraft, using a turboprop engine instead of a piston engine. The performance is perfect – like a Porsche.”
