The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Latvia has become the 55th member of IAOPA, the International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations.
AOPA-Latvia is latest of four national general aviation organisations to join in the past twelve months – following in the footsteps of the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Thailand.
IAOPA has also recently appointed Klaus Zeh as senior vp of its European region. Zeh has been
the region’s acting vp since September 2000.
“I am pleased that Klaus has accepted this important position,” said IAOPA president Phil Boyer. “With 32 affiliates, our European region is the most active within our association.\r
“The region is often at the leading edge of changes that significantly affect worldwide general aviation and aerial work activities.”
