Helitech, the world’s showcase for civil and defence helicopters has changed its venue to Duxford in the UK. Last year’s event was plagued by mud.
Duxford boasts hard-standing exhibition space with extensive car parking, facilities to handle more helicopters, hard-standing for static display craft, plus on site conference and corporate entertainment facilities.
Inaugurated in 1986, Helitech claims to be the largest international civil and defence helicopter exhibition in the world.
As in the past, the 2001 show on September 25-28, will feature a large hall for inside exhibits with static craft on display plus a dedicated area for ad hoc flying. Newly introduced this year will be an additional exhibit area with glass panels allowing viewing from inside the hall.
