Soloy Corporation is to produce and support the conversion of the AS-350 helicopter to Rolls-Royce 250 power. As part of the company’s support of this installation, it has recently initiated a TBO extension programme with the intention of increasing the freewheeling unit overhaul to 2,000 hours. According to Soloy, this will allow operators to perform the 250-C30M turbine inspection and clutch inspection at the same time thus decreasing aircraft downtime.
