Service People back in top ten
Having been absent from the top ten since 1996, Hamburg-based Service People has climbed up to joint fifth position.

Having been absent from the top ten since 1996, Hamburg-based Service People has climbed up to joint fifth position.

Barbara Loehnert, operations director, commented: “We think as an operator and not only as a handling agent – that is most important. We still work as we did in 1995 when we won the FBO survey.”

Speaking to EBAN, Loehnert found it difficult to identify areas for improvement: “We do not have our own terminal,” she said, “we have to get along with what the airport authority in Hamburg has built here – it is not bad but it could be better. Of course I’m dreaming when I think of having our own terminal, it is not a possibility in Germany.”

She went on to say: “The terminal here is really nice. The problem is that anyone can walk in here, for example there are sightseeing visits at weekends – with our own terminal we could say no to things like this, but it is something that we are happy to get along with.”
