Citation 525 is hailed by German operator for its cheapness of operation
German operator FLM Aviation has added a CitationJet 525 to its existing fleet, which includes a Beech 1900 and Beech 300.

German operator FLM Aviation has added a CitationJet 525 to its existing fleet, which includes a Beech 1900 and Beech 300.

MD Stefan Mohrdieck told EBAN: “We chose the 525 because it is a very cheap aeroplane to operate. The range is not so good with five passengers – maybe 800nm – but it is fantastic with two or three, enabling us to go from Hamburg direct to Majorca. This is a very important routing for us.”

In addition to its Spanish missions, the 525 is now making trips within Germany and to Central European destinations which include the UK, Italy and France. Outside this arena, FLM’s charter customers are also flying to Eastern Europe and North Africa.

Mohrdieck added: “Right now, the most popular pursuit is alpine skiing, so customers are flying to Innsbruck and St. Moritz for this winter sport.”

As regards the current strength of Germany’s charter market, FLM says it is still receiving a lot of new customers and believes the economy is continuing to flourish.
