The maintenance division of Biggin Hill based Air Touring Limited, the sole UK and Ireland distributor for EADS Socata, has reported a steady increase in demand for engine overhaul and avionics installation from overseas aircraft owner/operators.

With their recent sales success of the turbine powered Socata TBM700, Mike Pearce, Air Touring’s managing director, has created a specialist facility for turbine maintenance that runs side by

side with the piston maintenance section.

“We have been able to secure some of the UK’s most experienced technicians to support the maintenance division’s growth,” said Pearce.
