London Southend Airport’s own handling company, Southend Handling, has recruited Faye Relph in the quest to further improve its executive operation.
On behalf of the company’s corporate clients, Relph – an ex-Monarch Airlines stewardess – will vet all facilities from local hotels and restaurants to car hire companies and conference venues for their suitability.
Airport director Roger Campbell said: “Our key objective is to streamline our passengers’ progress through check-in, baggage handling, security and the departure terminal to boarding their aircraft.
“We also facilitate car-to-aircraft wherever possible.”
Since the inauguration of Southend Handling two years ago, the airport reports that executive traffic has doubled.
