Wing lockers to feature on King Air
Raisbeck Engineering and Raytheon Aircraft have reached an agreement to install Raisbeck-designed nacelle wing lockers as optional equipment on the Super King Air 350 production line. New aircraft with the locker option will be available from the middle of 2001.

Raisbeck Engineering and Raytheon Aircraft have reached an agreement to install Raisbeck-designed nacelle wing lockers as optional equipment on the Super King Air 350 production line. New aircraft with the locker option will be available from the middle of 2001.

The wing lockers can carry 600 pounds of cargo by adding 16 cubic feet of stowage space, providing increased operational flexibility and cabin space.

While many buyers ordered the nacelle wing lockers at time of purchase, the equipment is currently being field-retrofitted by Raytheon and independent dealers.

Steve Young, director of the King Air and Piston Aircraft Business Unit said: “The Raisbeck wing lockers provide added baggage and storage, giving greater cabin space for passengers. This is a natural factory option for the Super King Air 350 and we are delighted to be able to offer it to our new aircraft customers. Since so many customers are buying them anyway, this factory option reduces their completion time.”

James D. Raisbeck, ceo, added: “The crew can now stow their luggage and aircraft-related equipment, returning the cabin back to the passengers.”

Nacelle wing lockers are available as an after-market addition for all King Air models for $29,950.
