German operator and Netjets-vendor FAI Airservice has added a Citation CJ1 to its existing fleet which includes Citations I, II and V. The company believes that it should now be Germany’s largest operator of the marque. The aircraft has been operating mainly to destinations in central Europe – within Germany and to the UK, Italy, Spain and France.
FAI’s chairman and founder, Siegfried Axtmann, reports that since the operation began on September 30, the CJ1 has flown over sixty hours in its first four weeks of service.
Talking of the "big" demand in Germany for entry-level-jets he went on to say: "The demand is there because of the moderate distances we have to deal with. The CJ1 is a short distance aircraft, it’s affordable, and if you travel with up to four passengers it is comfortable enough."
